Sarah Huckabee Sanders to Sign Epic Education Bill into Law

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is on a roll. On Tuesday, the Arkansas Senate passed legislation that will create a new school voucher program that establishes school choice for all students. The bill also bans critical race theory and ends the teaching of gender identity to students below 5th grade.

Sanders is expected to sign the bill into law on Wednesday.

“I’m ready to sign it into law tomorrow and end the failed status quo that has governed our education system for far too long,” Sanders said in a statement. “Every kid should have access to a quality education and a path to a good paying job and better life right here in Arkansas.”

Over three years, the plan will phase in an ‘education freedom account’ to pay for private and home schooling costs equal to 90% of the state’s per-student funding for public schools,

The bill passed 78-21 in the Arkansas House and 26-8 in the Arkansas Senate.

The legislation makes Arkansas the fifth state — following Arizona, Iowa, Utah and West Virginia — to enact a universal program for so-called school choice, as more Republican-led legislatures prioritize taking up voucher policies.

Next up, Nebraska

BREAKING: Nebraska Senate just advanced a bill to fund students instead of systems.

The vote was 31 to 12.

It needs to pass the Senate two more times before going to the governor's desk.

The school choice movement continues:

Florida will become the 6th state to enact universal school choice in just two years once Governor Ron DeSantis signs this bill into law.

1. West Virginia
2. Arizona
3. Iowa
4. Utah
5. Arkansas
6. Florida

The dominoes are falling.

A school choice revolution has ignited.

Why below 5th grade? They need to grow a set and get this gender-bender bullshit out of schools altogether. I’d no more want some npc kid just out of college with pink hair and a teaching degree telling high school seniors that gender is malleable than an 8 year old. It’s a lie, regardless of what age the person you’re telling it to. Kids deserve better than that. Possibly it’d worth a mention in science class if discussing mental illness, but that’s about it.
