AUGUSTA, GA.A man risked incriminating himself to report a crime Sunday morning. Darrell Brown called police to report that his truck was stolen by a prostitute that he was with in an Augusta hotel, according to an incident report. Attorneys say the fact that he wasn't arrested shows that some crimes aren't getting the attention some may think they deserve. "This man probably could be prosecuted for soliciting a prostitute," said Augusta attorney Michael Garrett. Brown told deputies the prostitute took off with his truck this weekend; it was found in South Augusta Monday morning.
Under Georgia law, if someone is convicted of soliciting a prostitute, they could be sentenced for up to 1 year of jail or have to pay a fine of up to $1,000.
Not the kind of upgrade you're looking for...lol
