For the ladies: Getting treated like a regular

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I can't find previous threads. Sometimes I see posts or tweets from providers I've seen, thanking a regular for a special treat -- a meal and a show, a particularly lovely gift, a weekend [working] getaway in Bermuda, etc. (I just saw a provider in DC, who I've seen twice at about $400/hr, acknowledge a $2,000 jacket she got as a gift!) I get it, and that's wonderful for all involved. And it's clear that the regular and the provider click and that sessions together are really nice.

But I hobby only when I travel, and only behind-closed-doors. Sometimes I go to the same city once every month for a year, sometimes I'm only in a city once every year or two, sometimes I'm only there once. I've had a few times when I've seen a provider more than once or twice, but mostly I'm seeing someone only once, for an hour or two, no matter how well we click. Or it might be a year or more before I see the provider a second time. I try to be a good hobbyist -- respectful, on time, clean, etc. I often bring a small gift -- flowers, a book, chocolate, drinks, depends on the situation. But I'm clearly not anyone's recurring source of income :-).

So my question is: For those of you providers who have regulars, what do you like from the hobbyists who only see you once or twice? How can a one-time visitor help make the session especially nice (whatever your mutual definition of "nice" is), in the way that you enjoy with a regular?

Or am I just over-thinking this?

You sound like an absolute gentleman that just has a crazy work/travel schedule. I think for me the answer would just be maybe sharing a bottle of wine and some non-rushed time together while you were in town. I love good conversation over wine and hearing about where your travels and endeavors take you. Some of my regulars of this type over the years would even fly me to where they were traveling at times so we could visit more often but even with that not being the case some of my traveling gentleman still make a very memorable impression just by being themselves. Sometimes it might be a small gift or something they did that I found over the top sweet. To be honest, you sound like very sweet and fun company to have just based on the fact that you care how to make it a nice and memorable time for your partner. That goes a super long way and is very apparent in meeting.

For me, considering your work situation and fact that you only hobby when you travel, I would like to know if you enjoyed your time and if so, know when you planned to be back in the area to see me. It's not solely how many times a year that makes a hobbyist a regular. It is the desire to visit that provider again. In other words, if you traveled my way 2 times each year and every time that you were in my area you always called upon me, then that would mean to me you are a "regular" as you put it. However, if you traveled to my area 2 times a year and only called upon me every 4th time, then you would not be a regular in my eyes.

I travel quite a bit too.

It's a lot of fun banging out a hook in a new place. Sometimes I go for the same one if we hit it off.

I almost always bring a gift from the vending machine or a local convenience store.

@xxxalyssaxxx, Thanks. You've long been one of the people on my "if I'm traveling that way, I should contact...." Still hoping it will happen some day :-).

@SweetElizabeth, Thanks, this is helpful. Although I often send a thank-you after a visit, I rarely stay in touch, even if I think I might cross paths with the provider again. I'm conscious of not using your time (which is, after all, the thing for which you rightly charge) for unpaid idle chit-chat. But maybe the occasional "I'm thinking of you" note is OK?

The prices some of these vending machines that are set up in hotels charge for a sleeve of Chuckles is obscene.

Girls seem to like it if i just bring a donut in the morning, bottle of wine at night, or just tip.
