Tightlacing and Corsetry

I'm in the process of updating my website and went to my links page and found that what used to be my most favorite corset maker, if I ever had a corset made, had died at 37.

Just heartbreaking.

At any rate, I started looking for other corset makers in the US because now, I'm serious about having a custom made corset to enjoy both in this business and just wearing it.

Which brings us to tightlacing. When I was having a back and forth with Amy Crowder several years back, the owner of the now defunct Wasp Creations, she was an active tightlacer and I developed an interest in the fetish.

I'm not so interested in doing it myself but wow. Those small waists are just something!!!

So is anyone interested in tightlacing?

I have found some new links to a few corset makers. If anyone has any suggestions for corsets, I would appreciate it!

I find the whole subject fascinating!!! Does anyone else adore corsets?

They REALLY look good on some men who are interested in crossdressing as well!

Tightly laced kisses,

I LOVE corsets, both enjoying the lovely ladies wearing them, lacing them up, as well as slipping one on myself, though it's been a decade since I wore one. It's a combined form of bondage and breath control. There are "masculine" corsets out there as well, specifically designed for men interested in tightlacing but not necessarily crossdressing, and in fact if I recall correctly in the 1800's men of a certain station were just as if not more likely to be wearing one than the ladies. Kind of like how high heels were originally for a King.

If you are serious about it, check out Dark Garden corsetry. I've been in love with them since shortly after they opened in the '80s, some of the first porn pics I FREQ'd from FidoNet back in the day were corset pics of theirs. (Net 170, how I miss thee) A female friend of mine had a bridal corset custom made by them, and I'm damn glad I wasn't at the wedding because if the drool dripping down my face didn't give me away, the huge bulge in my pants would have. At their prices, I'd recommend a custom fit one as opposed to off the rack, and if you have the chance at all I'd recommend travelling to San Fran for the fitting, as I've heard that in and of itself is a major event.

As for corsetry here in Texas, your friendly neighborhood Leathermasters would be a good start. I'll ask a female friend of mine where she gets hers, I can't recall the name or website info. I know they are machine made, but the quality is about as good as it gets without getting into the cu$tom $$$tuff.

I love the look of a lady in a corset. The hourglass lines. The lacing.

New here, but love the images that you have created for me, Ms. Elisabeth.

I am all about fetishes, and this is definitely one I love.

I found out my new UTR simply adores corsets. She's wearing one for me on Tuesday...
I love them as well..The whole process of tightening .. AND re TIGHTENING..
I ABSOLUELY LOVE IT!! To have a man purchase one of his possible liking and ALLOWING HIM to Pull and TIGHTENING.. until i find it hard to allow it in further.. it moistens me and more ways tHAN ONE.
I have always been interested in waist training. I just never actually tried it. I would be interested in knowing how much of a problem there is with regard to health issues, like organ displacement, and breathing problems. I do love corsets, but it is hard to find a custom made one. Thanks for the link, I will definitely look into this.

This is why I started this topic to have a discussion about all aspects of this type of training. Could you do a google search and tell us what you find?

There are even measurements that are in the Guiness Book of Records regarding waist size. It's a small niche but it's certainly there!

I think you start by just getting your waist cinched just a little tighter than what is comfortable. I've been told that with big people, women like me, that they tighten corsets up to four inches tighter than the norm anyway. Sounds painful.

I'll try to look up some more information and link it back here in a bit.

Hugs,
Elisabeth

P.S. Love the pictures! I would also like to see pictures of tightlaced waists shown here. Some don't find it attractive. Not sure what I feel about it but it's interesting!!!
wow alexis very elegant. I love it i wish i still had one : (
THANKS PEACHES!!!
Hi all,

I've been fascinated with corsetry since I discovered them. A well-fitted corset on a lady is a joy to view, and if done right its quite comfortable, if a bit snug..

But there are a few things to keep in mind. Tightlacing is corsetry at its extrme. The lady (or gent) wears a corset for 23hrs a day, 7 days a week. You will need a partner to help you with it, and its not without some health issues/risks as well. I'm not a huge fan of it because I prefer the ladies to have waists that are in a good ratio to the rest of their body. So a 19in corsetted waist on a woman who has 36in hips looks unappealing to me (personally).

Also, the corsets used initially for training are quite sturdy and functional, but nowhere as pretty as the satin ones you see on corsets on models (or like the one Alexis modeld for us (drool). They are typcially made of canvas, have lacing on in the back, no busk, and are underbust. I actually have one from Wasp creations. It's quite functional, and very strong. But nowhere near pretty!

If you are on Fetlife (and if you aren't, get there!) there is a group dedicated to corsetry - http://fetlife.com/groups/215. Elegantly Waisted - Corsets and Corsetry. In the stickies they have corset makers around the US and the world.

Romantansy is a lingerie seller, they don't make their own any more. Dark Garden is of a similar model, but I do believe they have some staff that makes their own. Leathermasters is good for a local place to try them on and get your first one.

My personal favorite here in Texas is a lady by the name of Alexis Black, who is located in Spring. She makes the most fantabulous corsets I've ever seen, and will make you the matching bra/panty/whatever that you want. For big names you might check out Puimond, they make a mean corset too.

But a good custom steel-boned corset isn't cheap. They are gonna start at $300 or so and go up from there. But IF this is something you are really into, they are a great investment.

Yay for corsets!!!
Me & a friend in corsets we had made on vacation in Latin America. Less than $50 custom fit, plastic boning. I should import them! Not good for waist training but fun for a night out. By the way, I'm Layla -new girl in Austin- enjoying being a part of your community xo
