What does a provider do when she is trying to drum up quick business?

I saw a post this evening from a lady who said she had paid for an incall for the day, but she had no appointments lined up and so she put up an ad on P411 trying to generate some quick business. I found this interesting as I know that when I am looking for some company on fairly short notice, I find it difficult to identify women like her who might be looking to fill a hole in their schedule. I'm either constantly casting lines, or end up waiting for a response that never comes from the one woman I try to reach.

Is there a consensus as to the best way for a woman to let prospective interested parties know that she is in the situation I described? Chat isn't a great option (I don't think the owners condone solicitation there, and the software isn't compatible with the iPad/iPhone that many people now use to access the Internet). BP is full of unknown quantities. Eccie Provider Ads can only be posted once a week.

So what do you ladies do?

I love P411 ads because I can update/change them anytime I want. I can reword it a dozen times a day if needed.

On ECCIE, the only place I have that versatility is my signature block and showcase. I've thought of maybe putting some short-notice thing in my showcase, but then you'd have to search out my showcase to even notice it.

EscortPhotos.net has the quick change/update ability, but it doesn't get much traffic outside of Colorado.

Discounts on backpage...

I personally haven't posted on there in a year or so, but my girls do and that's how they drum up business on short notice
Great question! My own personal limitations of not being able to plan ahead (due to work) coupled with the difficulty in finding a provider that is available on short notice has driven me (happily, I might add) to the AMP's almost exclusively.

If there was a forum or otherwise easy, "one-stop-shopping" place for reliable providers available on short notice (not generally, but at that moment), I'd be all over it.

Ladies know it's safe to email even text me. Since other guys are this way too they'll group us together and send out scatter-gun emails (I.e group emails) that bcc everyone.

Somehow they always seem to time them...go for months with nothing then I get a bunch of last minute BewtyKawls in just a couple days.

Yahoo! Messenger, Twitter, and Facebook could be used to advise of last-minute availability, but I don't think they've made much headway in the hobby. I think I saw an ad from MarieLynn wherein she said you could check her last-minute availability via Yahoo! Messenger, but I haven't heard of many others.
I follow Marielynn and some other providers on twitter. Not sure why more providers are not on the twitter bandwagon. To answer the OP point, I think social media ( facebook, twitter , messenger) would be the way to go for such deals. I agree with HOneyrose p411 is another avenue.

Back on topic:

I've determined Facebook is an awful idea, from a hobby perspective. My 6-month experience with FB taught me that it is difficult to maintain both a personal and hobby presence. Thankfully, I do not have a personal FB account, but I have seen plenty of cases of providers unintentionally linking the two, enough to scare me off that version of social media altogether. Twitter may be an option, although I'm not entirely trusting of it, either.

Herc, I've also made it clear that ladies can email, PM or text (not using my hobby phone much anymore, so that may no longer be the best way to reach me nowadays). Very few do. I think because most clients DON'T want the women to initiate 1:1 contact, for a number of good reasons, it's likely hard for them to keep straight who they can contact and who they shouldn't.

The signature-line idea actually is something I've recently entertained. I saw one girl put in her signature line that if she is online, she's open for business (she put it more delicately than that, but you get my drift). That seems like a very smart way to communicate your status. If you want to log on but don't want folks approaching you, then go to invisible mode.

HoneyRose, I finally started checking P411 ads. Never really looked at those before. I found several women that posted same-day availability, and doing so in the title of the ad makes it easy to spot those without a lot of work. Since not every Tom, Dick and Harry has a membership, that seems to me a safer alternative than posting a BP ad.

Specials and discounted sessions are usually well received and I would think they would produce the desired results. Again, the problem is getting the word out. I am another of those who have no problem with direct contact, but, I agree that many do. My suggestion would be for the providers to send pm's to anyone here that they wanted to contact. Should be secure enough as far as SO's are concerned and I get a notice on my cell any time I have messages. I agree with TinMan; Facebook and Twitter are disasters waiting to happen.
Great tip... never gave it a thought.... going to use it now *smiles* Annie
To the OP

Try backpage or the P411 ad board.....lots of ads there.

That dude, twitter, facebook and all that does not have a "escort" section, and im sure they are frowning at the thought of providers using their services for advertising. Just saying.

BP seems like a bad option to me...zero quality control. P411 seems like the better option. In fact, I find myself with some free time this afternoon, and as Kami has not taken the bait as of yet, I am perusing the P411 ads as we speak looking for a potential martini partner in Arlington.
