I've switched to lyft. Though the prices for surge are about the same for both companies. Get both apps and just see which is cheaper at the time. Sometimes, depending on the event, the DART is a good choice too. Might just be a couple of stop and short walk to your hotel etc.

I used to be loyal to UBER, but over the past 6 months, stuffed using Lyft TOO... Now I am using Lyft all of the time.. The price might be a little less and the quality of vehicles and drivers is better...

Suppose I'll use Lyft for the house of blues doesn't look like they let people drop you off without paying to get in at starplex that kinda defeats the purpose and unnecessary walking yeah I'm lazy lol I'll have to stay sober for that one

Only issue is timing. They stopped at midnight when I used them on a regular basis.

That was 8 years ago. Could be different now.

Never been to Starplex, I prefer small venues, but most places I have dropped friends off at, they usually have a drop off area, with short walk.

Either way, your driver should be able to figure out the closest drop off spot.

Yes hob Dallas traffic shouldn't be too bad it's just The Dan Band I'll get there a little early anyway and hit up hooters before the show

I ended up using lyft last night 2 rides ended up costing $11 drop you off right at the door so you can drink $12 beers all night at the HOB and The Dan Band was awesome I'll find out today how close they can get at the Starplex pavilion BFD17!!

lyft is so much cheaper, and they also pick up immediately!!

Use either....taxis are much more expensive and drivers for Lyft and UBER are much more helpful and friendly.
I use both services on a regular basis and no complaints.

90 % of the drivers are Lyft and Uber...they have both apps and use them both to stay busy. I would never use a Taxi if those are available. Lyft has the Edge because you can Tip...Uber has issues with that.....
I recently took a ride with a Lyft driver who is also an Uber driver and she gave me the heads up that Lyft drivers are screened much more thoroughly than Uber drivers. Apparently, there were about 1,000 applicants for Uber and out of that 1,000 there were about 800 that had violent crimes on their background check and over half of them were sex related.

Also, Lyft has more women drivers than males, which is a plus if you are a female and using these driving services. The Lyft driver also told me about a woman she was driving home who told her about an Uber driver she had not too long ago who picked her up from work and then dropped her off at her house around 7:30pm and he stayed outside of her house lurking for the next three hours after.

I personally had a couple bad experiences with Uber drives being a little too intrusive with the personal questions, both were males. I felt extremely uncomfortable. So after my personal experiences paired with the information I got from my Lyft driver, I deleted Uber and now only use Lyft and I haven't had any issues at all.

you can use the app GoA2B to get estimates for both and also Taxi.
