So I have been in the hobby for over 20 years and I came across an ad that interested me. I contacted the provider and they are apparently in my area. They said that they want to be paid with ebay card for the 1st visit. She said that she has been scammed with counterfeit money and robbed before, so she wanted to be paid with eBay money.
I insisted that I do not prepay or give deposits ever. She replied that she doesn't ask for a deposit and won't ask for a prepay either.
All she wants me to do is buy the ebay card, then send her a picture of the store receipt with the card and the requested amount for the session ($200)....
So, my senses tell me this is a scam some how... somehow I will get hoodwinked... but I just can't figure out the catch or how this scam works.
If I don't show her the card barcode or pin numbers before I get there... how does this scam work?
Is it a scam or am I just old school and paranoid?

It is indeed a scam. The store receipt will give then a ability to sell the card to a site. DON'T DO IT.

And BTW …don’t assume you’re communicating with a chick,could very well be a hairy scammer dude on another continent
