Adult Search Pop Up - I HATE IT!!!

Every time I try to log on to ECCIE or check my private messages the stupid ADULT SEARCH POP UP ADD Comes up and blocks my instant access to the site - when is someone going to get rid of this junk? Any tips - frustrated
Install ublock origin on your browser. Seems to work for me.
Pop-up controller add-on stops pop-ups. Couple that with ublock origin add-on and you're set.

When my computer genius guy gets home, I'll have him follow those instructions for me. Thanks for bringing up the topic Ginger, it's been irritating me a very long time.

Ginger
are the things you guys described in the apple - app store?

why isn't this bothering enough people to get it eliminated at the source of the problem

I like the pop-up. I advertise on Adultsearch. So benefits me.
I have to say I enjoy the pop up as well for adult search as I advertise, however when Ashley Madison pops up it becomes extremely annoying! Hope you get it resolved regardless.
This is a source of revenue for EECIE...

I don’t like it, but if the choice is they pay or I pay, they win every time.
Do you give the pussy up free? Neither does Eccie.
What happened to Eccie charging companions to advertise, that’s an alternate source of revenue?

This is a well known trick of planting a hidden button over, or around, the button you are trying to puch. That happens when, as in your example Adult Search, someone has "hacked" into the web site, or the site owners allow it.

How do I know this? Because it has happened to me; I had over a hundred hidden buttons to take my clients to porn sites. I now spend $250 per month to have my site monitored and prevent this type of thing from happening. I know it is frustrating. Think about how frustrating it is for the site owner who really wants to keep this crap off of the web site.

I don't know about what ECCIE wants for their site, and it is none of my business. I just know I don't want anyone else doing business from my site.
You hit the nail on the head...the site owner allows it.
Just like the behemoth Amazon...most of its sales are third party!!

I am being very careful, one doesn't want to get points because .....- you fill it in.
Idk about android/iOS but at desktop level blocking server-side ads its easily done with yarip/ublock extensions. Maybe use privoxy for android? https://sourceforge.net/projects/ijb...0%28stable%29/
Its annoying, but not going to stop me from using the site.

I'm sure the owners of the site use the money to keep it running. Would rather deal with pushing a back button than having to input my credit card.
