College Station - Where to stay?

I am thinking of traveling up your way the first week of September and was wondering where the best place/location to stay.

university ave has the best hotels

many nice hotels on university ave between texas ave and highway 6

also a few hotels just north of the university ave/texas ave intersection

there are hotels along highway 6 including at rock praire, at southwest parkway, and at the university ave exit

there are others -- sheraton on texas ave just a bit north of holleman and texas ave intersection, etc.

probably stay away from bryan hotels ... fewer of them, and less convenient for most.
