Yes =/ 219-212
All seven members of Louisiana's delegation vote against the measure; Republicans unanimous in opposition

At least when it all fails in the future the state of LA won't be to blame
Sweet Jesus on a cracker. Watch the bloody telly ALL DAY, and finally get bored with no coverage, turn the damned thing off to go veg on Eccie and look what they do. To quote my fave economist blog, "We're all freaking doomed!"

The internet's gonna go crazy.

Yes it passed and I'm happy as hell. Not for me because I already have health insurance but for the people who don't I know what it like not to have it and it sucks. I remember years ago I broke my left hand I went to the emergency room when they found out I was uninsured they gave me a pamplet ago some free clinics that might and they stressed might see me. I had to call them and set a appt. With them. I called they told me they had a 3 week waiting list and I could get on it. So let me think? I just got laid off I get my last check in 2 days I have rent car food gas light water bill and a family to take care of. Soooo what do I do? Well you say F your hand forget about the pain. Go to Walmart and get on of those Ace bandages and wrap it up and get out there and find a job. So as a human being when I hear of 31 million uninsured I know what it's like. Yes I support Health Care Reform because no one should have to make the choices I made. Now I have it and sick time, short and long term disability and a host of other things offered thur my job. BUT I NEVER FORGOT THE ONES WHO DON'T

• Eight Democrats switched from no to yes: Reps. Brian Baird (Wash.), John Boccieri (Ohio), Allen Boyd (Fla.), Bart Gordon (Tenn.), Suzanne Kosmas (Fla.), Dennis Kucinich (Ohio), Betsy Markey (Colo.), and Scott Murphy (N.Y.).
Markey is going to get creamed. She was lucky to win her seat, and Musgrave (her opponent) was a slimebag douche everyone hated.

Jhende3, get ready to give 1/2 your check to pay for it.

treeman I couldn't afford health insurance at the time. But I believe most people who don't like the president didn't vote for the president and never would vote for the president hates anything the president does. They are a lot of people who comes up with all kind of misinformation about health care reform like "give up 1/2 your check to pay for it" This is the kind of thing that is really sad.
