Why do threads get closed?

Why did this thread get closed? Many ladies had good input on the same person calling around for bareback. The other members were trying to determine the authenticity of the alert. If this is not alert worthy, why not move the thread or delete it out right. Does the truth not bear out with more discussion? There were a few post that strayed but people do sleep. You never gave it a chance for more ladies to give input. Maybe some that have reviews from this guy may wanted to tell their side.

A little quick on the trigger in my opinion.

because the alert forum is supposed to be a place for alerts and information pertaining to that alert and we admittedly
went off on a bit of a tangent with that thread in the ensuing discussion... there wasn't any real "new" info pertaining to the alert..

just banter after a while

other times threads get closed at the Original Poster or OP's request.

sometimes threads that are over 2 months get bumped for no real reason than to bump them without
adding any relevant information... they usually get closed too
thanks. a warning on going off track would have been nice. in a single a day a few ladies posted they got offers from same guy. give it a day. maybe one of the indys that have recent reviews from this guy would have verified they saw the guy or saved themselves from guys shunning them. the discussion does not veer when we are trying to decipher the truthfulness of the alert. either a guy who has seen dozens of ladies on here is playing unsafe or someone is playing a cruel game.

Maybe they sent the guy a pm to respond to the thread and are waiting to hear back.

There are numerous reasons they may close a thread. This isn't the first time they've closed one....

Im not sure if you read the thread in its entirety but a warning was issued about discussion.

Additionally members repeatedly kept repeating the rule about discussion, look at post 43. Once more alert forum is reserved for just that alerts. Any info posted should really be updates on it, we try to keep loose interpretation of the rule but when a thread in there becomes 6 pages with just FYI or subject discussion it no longer becomes an alert.

In my honest opinion this one should've been in the ladies room to begin with.

Makes sense to me....

Who knows though maybe she put it on both the PR and in the open....

Cam, I am sure after you have gotten some time under your belt around here, it will become more obvious why threads are closed and why the rules are in place for how things are done here....for the most part anyway, how Moderators handle issues are never going to be satisifactory for everyone.
