Canada: The Dominican Republic or the North?

What happened in Canada regarding Sex for money over the holiday? Have they totally legalized Pay-For-Play in every form including SW?

Will Canada now become a major sex-tour destination for American Hobbyists much like costa Rica or The Dominican Republic?

I envision Indian casinos in the US partnered with hotel-like brothels on each side of the border.

Imagine what could come to pass in Vermont. and alont the northern tier of the US States: Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota and Minnisota!

Do I have this wrong?

Don't jump the gun. From what I recall of what I read, the Supreme Court essentially struck down most federal regulation of prostitution (which is legal but regulated in Canada), but basically stayed the ruling for a year to give the government time to promulgate new regulations which might pass constitutional scrutiny. The rationale was that the government does have the right to regulate prostitution, but that the regulations in place were unconstitutional for reasons including that they might tend to create unnecessary dangers for prostitutes. Canada currently has a Conservative government (which is nothing like what we think of conservative in the US, but still), so it is a fair bet that they'll try to pass new regulations during the next year.
