I would ask a friend and take her off the market for awhile. That is if she would let me....You never know. She may prefer her current life over fun filled vacations and shopping.

Theoretical breakeven on the odds for the Texas lottery is about $68 Million. It's currently about 55 Million. If it goes a few more weeks with no winners, it makes financial sense to buy a ticket.

As for the original question, why not do both?

for 55 million it makes plenty of financial sense to me to throw a dollar at it.....

i think if you win the lotto, you could try and start an empire like Hugh Heffner. Girls next door anyone? hehe (80+ old dude living and boinking 4 or 5 20 somethings every day. Wonder what his viagra prescription bill cost, I bet his insurance company must be tired of paying for them )

I play the lotto whenever it gets really big like $100 million, but I'd only spend a couple of bux. I'd go Pacman Jones if I win. I am getting a backpack full of $1's and going to BBD or CR and making it rain.
