Screening - why is Chicago so different?

Just had a brief visit to Chicago and ran into an oddity there that I don't understand. Seems like every girl I contacted wanted real life info for screening and wouldn't work with references or history from this board. Well dam that is crazy not sure why they would not do a provider reference to bad. I only ask for all the other stuff if someone dose not have a reference.
