The Corrupt FBI and DOJ stole documents from Trump that are protected by Attorney-Client privilege

FBI seizes privileged Trump records during raid; DOJ opposes request for independent review: sources

EXCLUSIVE: The FBI seized boxes containing records covered by attorney-client privilege and potentially executive privilege during its raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News, adding that the Justice Department opposed Trump lawyers' request for the appointment of an independent, special master to review the records.

Sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News Saturday that the former president’s team was informed that boxes labeled A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, A-33, and a set of documents—all seen on the final page of the FBI’s property receipt —contained information covered by attorney-client privilege.

The FBI seized classified records from Trump's Palm Beach home during its unprecedented Monday morning raid, including some marked as top secret. But the former president is disputing the classification, saying the records have been declassified.

The warrant and property receipt from the FBI’s Monday search were formally unsealed Friday afternoon.

Attorney-client privilege refers to a legal privilege that keeps communications between an attorney and their client confidential.

Sources told Fox News that some records could be covered by executive privilege, which gives the president of the United States and other officials within the executive branch the authority to withhold certain sensitive forms of advice and consultation between the president and senior advisors.

It is unclear, at this point, if the records include communications between the former president and his private attorneys, White House counsel during the Trump administration, or a combination.

Sources told Fox News that, due to attorney-client privilege, Trump’s team asked the Justice Department for their position on whether they would support a third party, independent special master to review those records, but sources told Fox News that the DOJ notified Trump's team that they would oppose that request.

The Justice Department and the FBI declined to comment.

A spokesman for Trump did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

The search warrant and property receipt for the FBI’s Monday raid of Mar-a-Lago were unsealed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Friday afternoon.

It's funny, that Trump never raised this himself, but just seems to be another rally point for conservatives. I guess throw every obfuscating comment and option against the wall and see which one sticks. I don't believe any documents that were seized relative to attorney and client privileges would help in the espionage charge. But that's just me.
... You're correct, mate.

But they took those documents never the less.

... Would surely seem to be more law breaking from the FBI.

... YOU made a GREAT comment in one o' the other threads
that somehow got overlooked. ... Something about Letitia James,
I believe it was, something like - "She just can't create evidence!"

... EXACTALLY!

... And THAT is what's happening... Not investigating a crime,
but "searching" for something against Trump to "CREATE" a crime.

Awhile-back it was the phony "Steele dossier" and the FBI
actually LIED to the FISA Judge to secure permission to
then SPY on Trump. .... When the FBI already knew that
the dossier was most likely phony... The lie to obtain
the FISA warrant was that "THEY VERIFIED" the dossier.

A dossier created by Hillary Clinton's people, to help
her win the election.

And NOW the FBI has Raided the home of the candidate who
is LEADING in the polls to be the next President of the US.
To once again try to destroy a political opponent of the Democrats.

... Surely though the FBI and DOJ were supposed to be IMPARTIAL.
If so - I'm surely havin' a hard time seeing the impartiality.

Are YOU?

My question is why wasn't trumps legal team allowed to be with the people searching the estate?
Am I wrong or isn't it the right to witness the agents when being served a search warrant and be present?

that Official Request.

And THAT counts.

I do think this whole thing will unfold very quickly as the intent is to damage Trump before midterms and ultimately take away his ability to run for POTUS.

All that said, the GOP should pick a new candidate, he is just too polarizing with his rhetoric. Nobody needs the drama.
... Fair enough there, mate.

Though the GOP won't pick another candidate.
Trump already "has the voters"... There may not even by a primary.
It would be a waste of time.

... TRUMP is the candidate - and the odds-on FAVOURITE to WIN in 2024.

And IF Trump doesn't run - then Trump will surely select the
GOP choice for 2024. ... It's that simple.

So let's get onto the Investigation of the Raid. ..

And there goes the transparency narrative for the corrupt DOJ

NEW: In a filing in response to news organizations' request, DOJ says it objects to the unsealing of the FBI affidavit that led to the Trump search warrant

What is the DOJ afraid of???

Just like you like to do on this bulletin board about hookers. I wouldn't expect you to understand this level of logic though, as it doesn't support the narrative, that everybody loves Trump. That's your inference and your reality. The rest of us live in the real world, where Trump is tolerated but not appreciated. Nor is he likely to succeed in a second election. But it will be fun to watch him lose twice- even if it's to another GOP member in the primaries.
