Thinking of visiting Austin next week!

I'm seriously considering visiting Austin next week! I would love some suggestions on where to stay and what there is to do when I'm not in appointments. I've never been to Austin before and would love any input! I'm super excited!

What is LE activity like in the area? What are some great places to eat? What areas of town are considered a no go?

And because no thread is truly complete without a few nice pics...

Austin always a fun place to visit. Great restaurants and sights to see.

Depending on civic and convention activities, best to book hotels asap.

Enjoy the trip ... and maybe include San Antonio visit some time.

Domain/Arboretum

As far as LE activity, stay in Travis county and it shouldn't be a problem, stay out of Williamson County which has a much harder line as far as LE.

I recommend the Arboretum or Domain areas.

Something I will mention is that your rates are on the high side, though of course what you charge is your decision.
