Finally an Artist who stands up to Bots, Scalpers, and Fee Rip-offs. The Cure is literally the first Act to do this. They are fan-friendly, and perform long concerts. I will be in attendance when they play Dallas in May.

I was actually able to score some tickets for the Dallas show. I guess since most of the scalpers and bots got shut out

All you can see on the main eccie page is "Robert Smith (the Cure)" so for a minute there I was thinking (and hoping) that this was going to be a review.

No but seriously, good on him and a handful of others continuing to raise awareness about the pure evil that exists within the American business world and the tolerance/compliance that our society exhibits within. Oh, but capitalism and all that (rolls eyes).

But unfortunately, will there ever be an end? We've seen artists along the way such as Metallica, Pearl Jam and others try and fight this evil but no progress is ever made or substantiated. And what makes this even more difficult is that ticketmaster has joined with live nation who actually owns the music venues and the "rights" to contract their preferred ticket brokers. There is an artist named zach bryan (absolutely NO fucking relation) who I believe was able to schedule a whole tour avoiding live nation/ticketmaster venues but I can't imagine very may artists out here being able to pull that off.

But good on the Cure to be able to get some results and get some money back into the hands of the actual fan who just wants to go see some music. I was able to see the Cure a few years back in Austin and it was a fantastic show, would like to attend this upcoming show as well.

Zach Bryan has certaily done what he can...

Maybe the bad publicity with the Cure, and Taylor Swift recently, can get Congress to break the Ticketmaster/Live Nation stranglehold. They didn't let the Hunt Brothers corner the Silver Market, why allow the Concert experience to be hijacked?

He's obese, wears a bad wig and the concerts are complete downers.

Loved me some Cure but that concert was not enjoyable.

Good on him for fighting a company we all can't stand.

Okay, yeah, maybe not Gary Glitter bad, but a bad wig, for sure.

This Site says he is 5'10'', 176 pounds. I don't believe everything I read on the internet, but that is far from obese. I think he would need to be 196 or more, to reach any form of ''obese''.
He's a fat fuck and the concerts are downers.

I got the email from ''Ticketmaster Fan Support'', letting me know a part of the fee was refunded. One sentence said ''this is all thanks to Robert Smith''.

I would have liked to have been present, when Smith told Ticketmaster what they were going to write, after he forced them to take back a portion of their fee

I am a fan myself...might have to meet up for a brew or two before the concert.
