Y'all, please bear with me, I'm slightly delirious, super worried about my dog, and figured I'd ask here. I'm not going to get into the details, and it's not dire, but I've been up with him all night. Call me sentimental, but with pet his prevention meds all being shipped to us, I've timed his yearly check up for when we go home to see family at the holidays.
Unfortunately, that means I haven't found a vet here in the North Dallas area for him and he definitely needs to go as soon as possible. So now that I have expressed my issues concerning my fur-baby (oddly it was cathartic), tell me for those of you who have pets, where do you go?

Thank you all so much for all the advice and the help. We have found a new veterinarian near Addison. It's the calmest I've ever seen my dog when at the vet and he didn't flinch when they touched his mouth. A first.
