During a CNN town hall on Wednesday, President Biden said he is “continuing to push” for a ban on weapons that can fire multiple rounds, including handguns.
The statement came after an audience member asked how he planned to address gun violence at the federal level“to actually bring about change and make our local cities safer.”
“I’m the only guy that ever got — passed legislation when I was a senator to make sure we eliminated assault weapons,” Biden responded. “The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether it’s a, whether it’s a 9mm pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous.”
“I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things, but I’m not likely to get that done in the near term,” Biden added.
House Republicans vowed to never let Biden get away with stripping Americans' Second Amendment rights.

Biden: “Whether it’s a nine millimeter pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous. I’m continuing to push the elimination of a sale of those things. But I’m not likely to get that done in the near term.” He wants to ban hand guns. A complete demolition of the 2nd Amendment.

Technically almost everything can fire multiple round, even ICBMs. It depends on how fast it can be reloaded.

Big inflammatory leap in "logic" there. The Biden quote clearly questions the need for weapons that can fire multiple rounds of some undefined number starting at 20. The quote does not support an intent to ban all handguns.

If Biden truly understood the Second Amendment and the way this country is getting to be he wouldn't have to question the need for a firearm that fires more than one round. No law abiding citizen aspires to go out and kill people, criminals do that. A law abiding citizen posses and trains with a firearm to protect himself and others against any threat Foreign or Domestic. No body should have to try and interpret Joe Biden's words anyone with an ounce of sense knows what he meant.
