safe and daty in same sentence......like oil and water....they don't mix. @ RFL - if your concerned about safe, go to SC and watch. Otherwise, make sure you find one that does not allow fluid exchange. I personally don't want to be the first/last visit of the day for bbbj or daty.

Nothing in the hobby is completely safe. It is just a question of how much risk you are willing to accept. If you want to minimize your risk, don't DATY and do everything covered. If you want to eliminate your risk, find a different hobby.

If she is infected with something, bathing isn't going to make a bit of difference. First of the day might be freshest, but clean and safe aren't the same thing.

Yes, I'm inclined to agree with my predecessors. It's all about balancing risk vs. reward.
At the end of the day, sexual fluids have to enter the partner's blood stream to transmit blood borne STIs, which is most of them (notable exception is herpes). While this can happen by transversing thin membranes, this generally happens via a cut or tear, or by going through the intestines, which are thin membranes. Because of the aggressive nature of sex from the receivers point of view, they tend to be the one that has tissue somewhere ripped making it far more likely the female (or gay male) will get an STI during unprotected sex. This is why AIDs and other STIs are generally considered a homosexual condition in the male population: heterosexual guys just aren't receivers. While we all of course know that a heterosexual male can contract them, it's far less likely.
Generally speaking, our mouths, throats, and stomachs will not have a cut or a way for bodily fluids to get into blood streams, so they are relatively safe. ... but there is always a possibility that you have something in your mouth, throat, or stomach (ulcer, etc) that exposes your blood stream. Therefore, it becomes possible to spread STI's via oral sex. However, this is fairly rare.
At the end of the day, you have to make up your own mind about how acceptable a risk is for the reward. I would daresay that people getting an STI from oral unprotected sex probably happens very infrequently (I donno... guessing once every 50,000 encounters), which is acceptable risk to most. Getting an STI from vaginal or anal unprotected sex is probably once every 5000 times for a guy, but once every 500 times for a girl. I'm totally making up these numbers, so don't quote me. But the point is that even if these numbers are ballpark, vaginal or anal unprotected sex for either partner is just too risky. But oral sex is a judgment call.
