Hotel HIGH! Midland

SO for shits and giggles I called a low budget hotel on Wall road that is normally $99 maybe $150 a night in any other town would be $59 or $69 at the most. In Midland Wall road near Midkiff by the truck dealerships. $499 this Sunday $799 this Monday.....Next Monday is $599.. LOL GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
No Thank You I will stay in Abilene...LOL
The oil and gas show is next week 16-18. Not saying they are not high anyway but that’s probably why they are so high for the days you mentioned
Even at those prices they get sold out every night
I haven’t had any problem paying those prices I’ve been here in this area 6 months in the hotels.

Unfortunately those low budget flop house's like to talk advantage of people when something big is going on.
In Albuquerque this week is Balloon Fiesta week, so the hotels are filling all room's and jacking everyone on rates, I heard even Motel 6 is asking $225.00 for a room.
At that rate they better be throwing in a half hour of horizontal pleasure.
TAYLOR..GOOD GIRL AND GOOD FOR YOU, You can and will pay 750 for a room...lol me, myself and I won't do it. The normal 150 yeah ok maybe even 2 but 750 not I said the brown cow
I thought there were pricing laws

This is why it's best to check on Hotels.com or another 3rd party site. Before I found a more permanent place, I never had much trouble finding a room in the $150-$200 range. Of course, if there is a special event going on prices will blow up.
Kl1942 tell that to The Dakotas that have been known to charge 20 bucks for a gallon of milk at the little stores where walmart is over an hrs drive... or how about when Harvy hit hiking up water to 45 bucks for water that normaly cost 3 or 4 bucks. Wrong but legal

We blocked 8 rooms a year ago at a 2 star hotel for $285 per night.

Non cancelable.

Needed one more room 2 weeks ago and they were $650.00.

Crazy.
