May 19 - The Great Reopening

The Instagram for The Lodge indicates they expect to reopen on May 19.

It’s nice to see something more than just third hand rumors.

I'll believe it when I see it, besides that is the birthday of
Hồ Chí Minh, which suggests the Site might be punking its readers

I guess they know something the governor has not told the rest of us yet.

Seems like they're "anticipating" a reopen on the 19th with the rest of the state; of course that could change with the state mandates. They are hosting two parties at the Longhorn Icehouse before then though, RSVP only to keep it at 25%. One party is for staff, the others seems to be for regulars "patrons + friends".

I don't see anything on the Lodge website, but I only scanned through. Don't see anything on the BDD website either. But like most of these clubs, the website is probably lagging behind actual events.

Let's see 25 percent capacity and must keep 6' from the customers. If dancers think this is going to be anything like the old days then think again.
Bucks said the 20th when I called last weekend. But also I dunno how clubs will work with social distancing. The purpose of the club is the illusion of intimacy. A dancer is less likely to take my paycheck six feet away from me than sitting on my lap. Lol

fuck, from 6 feet away, I can't tell if nipples have pasties covering them, let alone derive any form of ocular pleasure, and it takes tactile pleasure to get me in the door. this is a losing proposition for me.
I don't know how it will all work out. I know I like to see the prettiest girls and perhaps the only ones who can make money from 6 feet away are the pretty ones - so I might like it.

You can always go to see your favorite working girl after you get warmed up in the club.

Beyond that, what I'm hoping is after a few weeks, the disease dies down and everyone ignores the 6 foot rule and gives the government the finger. They expect that, though, and could make a splashy publicity stunt by shutting down strip clubs - so I'm going to wait and see what happens.

It looks like the Lodge might have jumped the gun in announcing their opening date. I guess we’ll see.

I think what will happen is between now and then the numbers in Dallas are going to explode upward. So anything that hasn’t already opened, like bars, will get pushed further back.

The Lodge could open up serving food only IMO, and maybe make that work in the short term just to get some employees back on the payroll, and some revenue flowing in.

I guess they could follow in the steps of the hair salon. If Abbott is going to order her released from jail, then he'd have to follow suit with strippers trying to feed their babies.
I was told Silver City is open.
