I was going to start a topic on credit cards!!!

The Square works great. You run the card. (When setting up the account, there is a name for the business, just ask first)

There is a place where you can add a tip. I will also add a $10 handling fee.

It's run and then the money goes to the bank the next day.

I like it. But I'm very careful with using it. Honestly, only people that I've known or screen super well has the opportunity to ask to use that option that I have. Cash will always be king with me. My reader has come in handy a few times.

But I do NOT use it while traveling. A friend advised against it for a myriad of reasons.

Hope this helps. I'm sure many will chime in. Most are NOT in favor of using credit cards. For me, this is a new offering.

While I, and many others I think, would not use a CC for the hobby, I think it is a smart move for the well estblished, business savy ladies to nvestigate how to do this, even if they do not choose to do so right away.

Planning for PayPal, CC, etc is smart to do. Someday, things may change and these become accepted ways of paying for the hobby. Learn now what the drawbacks and positives are so you are ready if that day comes

Oh, and don't rely upon what others tell you entirly. Get a CC merchant agreement and see for yourself what it says. For example: All the CC merchant agreements specificly say you cannot charge more for an item if payed for by CC or charge service fees to accept one. You would have to get an exception in your contract to do so.

Keep in mind folks, the CC transaction AUTOMATICALLY brings the feds in if busted as it is a cross state line transaction. (Not sure about PAypal, but would think the same)
