The Auto Repair Insurance Sales Call

I know you get them, I get one everyday.. on both phones. the recorded Female voice who says I'm still eligible.

I have hit "take me off your list", but it is ignored.. so if I answer, and it is them (they change the number often), I play along. 2 days ago I forgot, and said my car was a 1994.. not eligible.. yesterday I said 2017, with 170,000 miles.. the lady kept wanting me to confirm the miles, I did.. hang up, apparently too many to be eligible.

today I said 2014, 79,000 miles.. strung them along, I said the engine light came on "occasionally", but would go off in 20 minutes.. probably a sensor, I said, when asked. the Manager said the guy who answered would get back on the line and explain what is NOT covered. he came back on.. oh, I should probably say I told them my name was Edward Faggot, the guy paused, and called me Edward, LOL.. anyway, when he came back on the line, I "forgot" how to speak English.. I told him (in Vietnamese) "I don't understand", "I don't speak English", "go die", etc.., while he is perplexed.. "am I still speaking to Edward"?, LOL.. he finally hung up.

just now I got a "you've been slected for a $50 gift card from Amazon, Walmart or Walgren's, which do you want?".. I said Walgren's.. great, answer a brief survey first. "do you support the legalization of marijuana, yes (1) or no (2)?.. I played along and hit #1.. "have you or a family member ever been sexually assaulted by a Catholic Priest"? huh?.. ok, let's hit #1 and see what happens.. a guy comes on the line, sounding intense. after a brief recording that there is help for me.. he asked the name of the Priest who assaulted me.. "um, I forgot his name, I just called him 'Father'", I said. he told me it wasn't important, but I would get a callback from a "Specialist".. he hung up as I was saying "don't you want to know what happened to me"!? LOL

the do not call list is apparently worthless now, if it even still exists. and yeah, 90% of calls I get that aren't immediately known to me, are ignored.

but there oughta be a LAW!

I just got the Life Insurance call (from Phoenix), where "Alex" tells you she has your file, from you having requested Insurance online. she said "I have here that you are from Texas"?

I told her nope (yesterday I talked to her and said "Louisiana", she must have forgot, LOL), she asked what State then? I said you tell me, you have my file.. I told her to tell me my name, she said she doesn't know, she just has State and phone number.. I told her she needs more facts, she finally hung up, exhausted, LOL

I love fucking with the guys that call from "microsoft" to tell me I have a virus. Spent 45 min on the phone with one dude as he walked me through how to diagnose the issue. Hung up on me when he figured out I had a apple..

I am bombarded by those calls, over and over. I have an area code from another state for my cell phone and they spoof their number to match my area code. I think I have blocked 100+ numbers in that area code. Always a spoofed phone number.
It's for credit card lower interest rates, free roof inspections, cancer screening tests, extended vehicle warranties, name it.
If I have time I fuck with them too, like if they are calling me on the drive home.
Supposedly, the major phone carriers have until the end of the year to do something or they themselves may be subject to class action lawsuits.
They are allowing scammers to use their services to perpetuate scams. Not much different than me allowing my vehicle to be used in bank robberies as I see it.

I have T-Mobile and they have a pretty good system going that blocks suspected scam calls. I hardly get any of those anymore. In fact, occasionally it's too good and blocks people I want to hear from. On my birthday it blocked my sister-in-law, and the other day when I had my car in the shop it blocked the shuttle driver who was supposed to pick me up for a ride back to get my car. On the whole, though, it's pretty good and knocks out 95% of those junk calls and not too many of the the good ones.

I also downloaded an App that lets you program number patterns to block. A lot of times I get spoofed Caller-ID that has the same area code and first 3 digits as my phone number. I put that pattern into the App. I'm not sure if that's what's doing it, but I don't get any of those calls any more.
I had one last week...

Told the chick I don’t own a car anymore, it got impounded because I had 3.5 kilos of Columbian bang bang under the passenger seat... She got super silent and said I hope your court case goes well

And my experience is that the coverage is great pretty much everywhere I go in or out of the U.S.

I used to get the calls to my landline from "Microsoft" than my computer had a "wirus". Always asked how they knew my landline phone number based on my computer name or IP and they would hang up.
Now I get the auto warranty stuff just about every day from different numbers.

After the call progresses beyond the prerecorded part, I ask the girl if she's from the escort service, is she wearing those ballet spike heels, no panties, does she swallow and I have an electric butt plug just waiting for her. Usually I don't get past "escort service", but have had a couple of really gnarly free phone sex encounters.

Well that's cool. Free phone sex.
My bad luck is that I usually get some dude from some offshore country. I have enjoyed throwing out some pretty bad insults about things his mother was doing with animals but that usually just gets the hang-up. One guy cursed me out which I found rather comical. Guess they don't have the same rules as a US call center.

I got a call from a guy in India, saying he could help me with my mortgage. Decided to string him along, told him my name is Bruce Wayne. I only made $500 a month, because I was too busy protecting the city of Gotham. He kept on going without slowing down, and during his spiel, I would randomly say, I AM BATMAN!!
You would think he would have caught the joke, but then he asked if I had family to help with this payment, in order for him to help me with my mortgage. I told him my parents were murdered, and I didn't wanna talk about it, UNLESS, the caller found the killer. He was silent for about 3 seconds, then told me he was going to speak to his manager about helping me out.

Do keep in mind, I took this call at work, and at this point, my boss is rolling on the floor, laughing so hard. During the call, I finally handed the phone to my boss, I got busy, and the guy on the phone tried to get my manager to pay the $500. My boss finally hung up on him.

About 2 hours later, the same guy called back, asking to continue our business transaction. I finally told the caller that to have his mom call me, so she could rent me for $500, there was silence, then he finally hung up. Needless to say, I haven't got any more calls like that

the "I can help lower your credit card interest" call. I press "one", Indian Lady with a thick accent comes on the line.. I told her I was masturbating, she said "ok", and continued her spiel. I said "do you masturbate"? no response, just a pause, and she continued. I decided to "play it straight" after that, gave a bogus expiration date, told her I owed $31,000, etc.. she asked for all my card numbers to "pull up my data", starting with "5".. I had told her I have a Mastercard (I don't), we debated whether my number starts with a "5", maybe a Mastercard would.. I played along, and ran off 16 digits (I wrote them down as I spoke) that was my card number.. she repeated the numbers after a few seconds, I confirmed the accuracy.

I guess she knew at that point I had given a fake number.. she said "you're wasting my time".. I said "how? I gave you the numbers".. she said, in her thick Indian accent, "you wasted my time, go fuck yourself", LOL.. I quickly told her I would "masturbate and think of you", before she hung up.
