Lockhart in Plano is pretty good. They do have one in Arlington.

pay close attention to their operating hours.
also get there before they open at 11 am because there will be a line.

Cattleack Barbeque https://www.cattleackbbq.com/
pay close attention to their operating hours on their website.
They are only open Thursday and Friday and the first Saturday of the month from 10:30 am to early afternoon.

Oh!

I read the title and somehow didn't see the Irving Grapevine part, only best BBQ and Tex Mex.

I hardly ever go to Irving and Grapevine.

I couldn't rightly recommend anything there.

I like Hard 8

There's no place in DFW as good as Franklin BBQ, most of the other spots in Austin are mediocre. Meat You Anywhere is good, Hard 8 is as well even though it's not technically in Irving or Grapevine. Really gotta get over to Dallas if you want good fancy bbq or to Ft Worth for good traditional bbq

+1 on the Hard 8
Drive a little further and go to Fort Worth

BBQ
Railhead $2 schooners of beer and best ribs etc...

While your there stay for dinner

TexMex
Joe T Garcia’s margaritas will knock you over and limited menu which is great

Hard 8 is rather mediocre and expensive for what it is. The brisket has so little smoke that it tastes more like roast beef than barbecue.

For some of the best rest Texas barbecue drive a little to 407 Barbecue in Argyle or to Hutchins Barbecue in McKinney.

Hard 8 sucks and yes, it's very pricey for the poor quality.

Hutchins BBQ in McKinney and Frisco.

for one price, $25, you get all this:

2 kind of sausages: Original or Jalapeņo Cheddar
beef brisket: lean (dry) or fatty (wet) - choice of slice or chopped
pork ribs
pulled pork
smoked turkey
smoked ham
smoked chicken

You also get all the sides which include:

loaded mashed potatoes, fried okra, french fries, 2 kind of baked beans (Jalapeņo or Brisket), macaroni and cheese, green beans with big pieces of real bacon and salted pork in it, broccoli salad, cucumber salad, side salad, cole slaw, potato salad, pickles, Pepperoncini peppers, fresh onions.

You also get this included:

fresh baked peach cobbler, fresh banana pudding, vanilla and chocolate ice cream.
