The tsunami did reach the West Coast ... I am familiar with a small town on the Oregon coast that was hit hard ... wiping out businesses in the Bay (Crescent) and at the "marina" ... lots of commercial fishing boats hit. I was there before the damage and saw the comparison afterwards.

We try to buy Atlantic fish if "wild caught" and try to avoid "farm raised" simply because of the issues with "farm" fish ... regardless of their claims.
Good point. If radiation was even slightly a problem with Pacific caught fish you'd see FDA and EPA warnings all over the news every night.

If nothing is said much about the increased levels of air borne radiation on the West Coast or the island of plastic swirling around, I can imagine something as "inconsequential" as a "little bit' of annoying radiation infecting our fish wouldn't make a ripple or disturb anyone at the T box.

After all, if one acknowledges a problem exists, one must address the problem.
