ANOTHER LIBERAL MEDIA FAIL.......THE NEW REPUBLIC

Good riddance...............

The venerable New Republic turned 100 this year, and despite its ups-and-downs over the decades (such as being virtually pro-Soviet for a time in the late 1940s under the Communist editor and KGB agent Michael Straight), it was an important publication for thoughtful liberalism. It does not appear the magazine will make it to its 101st birthday,

Another sign of the bankruptcy of liberalism heading froward ?

You are probably on to something JackieS.......the New Republic was a thoughtful presentation of liberal ideology; today's liberals are overwhelmingly dumbed down by universities and big media to appreciate the sophisticated content of the New Republic. Some kudos to them for not going the route of the Daily Beast, Huffington Post, or Rolling Stone. Some ass shots of Kardashian on their cover or a phony story of campus rapes might have helped same them.
