STD Survey

OK, here goes. I'm trying to do a semi-scientific survey of the STD experience of hobby-ests and providers. So that no one has to "out" themselves I've created this ID for the purpose of taking the survey. The password is anon.
Please log on and give a brief introduction - provider or hobby-est, experience - number of partners, over what period, what activity (bbbj, bbfs, always covered, greek, etc) and whether or not you've been diagnosed with any STD's and what they are. Hope the ops don't shut this down before we get a few responses.

Well a web site to link to would be nice.
Website? this one - log on as AnonymousSource password anon and post.
Is that hard to understand?
Cpalmson, I think he means that those of us who wish to can sign onto the handle he created, then tell our story on this thread. Yeah, I don't see that working out very well LOL

Anon, Iwill say this. Several years ago, a lady who was completing her doctoral program as a sex therapist did an informal survey among providers on a different review site. She was quite well known there, even hosting her own discussion section. About 100 providers, myself included, participated in her survey.

Her survey covered a wide variety of topics including our pre-provider sexual history, attitudes toward sex and sexuality, drug use history, and both knowledge of STD's, as well as any experience with being diagnosed with an STD. A few months later, she published the results of her survey. I was honestly surprised that almost 60% of the women reported having been diagnosed with one or more STD's since they began escorting.

Now, the survey was 100% anonymous, so it is fair to assume that some responses may have been false or exaggerated. The respondents were also self selected, since the providers could decide whether to participate or not. Additionally, a sample size of only about 100 women is probably not a large enough sample size to be statistically relevant. So as a valid survey, the results were highly questionable at best, and really couldn't be assigned much weight. I was still surprised that the percentage of women reporting having had an STD was as high as it was though.

I was thinking of doing a survey also, if all providers would pm me with a "YES" "NO" or "I STILL HAVE ONE OR MORE STD's and what they are"

I promise I will not divulge your status or handle. You can trust me. This is of course for scientific study.

Thank you, and you may or may not be hearing from me!
OK, I was hoping for a rational discussion of the dangers of STD's in the hobby. Guess I was wrong. Thanks, SinsOfTheFlesh for a thoughtful and interesting response. I'd love to see the details of the study you mentioned. For the rest of you, enjoy your time in denial.

Why bother OP?

I like putting nickels on the dripping and watching them slide to the floor.

I have never caught anything from a hooker or any other girl.

I like to have BB sex and with most providers a mere 100 extra will let me feel them in the right spots

Just kidding

Never had anything hope to never do in the future.
Ummm...welcome to ECCIE?

Way to start!
Actually I don't think I have an agenda (I could be wrong). Just occurred to me that we'd never get an honest discussion of STD's from people posting under their own handles. I thought if I gave everyone an opportunity to be anonymous we'd get a more honest discussion. You're probably right, calling it a survey was a mistake.
Let me say this - I hobby occasionally and I have herpes - caught outside of the hobby. I haven't had an outbreak in years and I'm assuming I haven't infected anyone but I can't be sure.
