Making Phoenix a regular stop

Hello Arizona!!

I will be visiting the Phoenix/Scottsdale area in April and regularly after that. Where are the safest places to stay or place to avoid? Where can I find good food? Where can I hike?

Any info a girl new to your area needs to know is greatly appreciated.

They medivac hikers off Camelback Mountain every weekend. Thats in Scottsdale, not a good place to incall at either.
