Security and Hacking

Anyone given any thought to what the security safeguards are here for ECCIE if this site got hacked, like Ashley Madison, and what the ECCIE folks would do and delete account information of its users?

Is this a question to staff ...or just in general?

Anyway, I guess if they hacked this place all they would really get is your hobby email address that you use since nothing else is attached to anyone's account here. No personal info is needed or required to join/sign up here, so there's no RW info attached to any accounts. Also, there's no CC info here either since a third party site is used for any payment transactions.

Probably should make sure that providers are protected as well. They have more to lose.

Their accounts are anonymous as well as yours is ...so my answer above would apply to both parties.

Wrong, they would get your computers IP address unless you are using TOR browser or third party to redirect your computers or routers IP.

But a IP address is just a number unless someone has access to a ISP's database. And ISP staff are well versed in hack protection, and more.
