i need to vent. hopefully it will make me feel better but at a minimum maybe i'll learn something.

in my own business i'm a sole proprietor, just like an escort, and just like an escort i know my reputation depends on the quality of my work and the kind of service i provide.

apparently that's where the similarity ends.

in the last month there's one particular provider i've tried to connect with using pm, phone, e-mail, and p411. i'm not wearing her out… i've only tried once or twice via each channel, but i've gotten absolutely no response. i know she's active because i've seen recent reviews. then there's a girl i connected with recently who is very well known and very well reviewed when she travels to the west texas area. she asked for my references, which i gladly supplied only to never hear from her again. i know for a fact she never contacted my refs and other dudes have reported similar flakiness.

to top it off, i got canceled on today. granted, the girl i was meeting with did give me plenty of notice by letting me know early this morning, but the reason she gave me is just something i don't understand. according to her she can't get a room today so she can't do incall. what am i missing? with thousands of hotel rooms available in her town, how is this a problem? i hate to say it, but that just feels like the old "sorry, but i have to wash my hair tonight" excuse.

now look… i get that these girls have complicated lives and that we have zero visibility to what's going on behind their scenes, but come on. is it too much to ask that if you're going to put yourself out there as a professional that you act like one? i understand that they get lots of requests and that not all of them are polite. if i were the kind of misogynist asshole that addresses e-mails with "what's up bitch," then i can understand never getting a response, but i'm not that guy.

so what's the deal? is this just normal and my expectations are too high? is this all just part of the game and paying your dues? if it is, then so be it. i can deal with it. if not then what the fuck am i doing wrong?

I'm sorry that you've been having these experiences but it happens to everyone on both sides of the equation.

It sucks but unfortunately there isn't anything to do but vent. A lot of people will say "Oh just do your homework" but sometimes even the best researcher gets screwed.

As for the incall girl............well it may be that the hotels in which she is comfortable are booked or have price hikes due to a special event. It may be that she is broke and can't afford the room and was hoping you might volunteer to get it. Or she might just be washing her hair.

I have the same problem. Look some of us don't live in Dallas or Houston or any other major metro area where a good fuck is probably on speed dial. Some of us live in what is jokingly referred to as BFE-- Butt Fucking Egypt. My location is actually a wide swath covering nearly 200 miles with maybe half a dozen reliable providers. We subside on these, some recurring touring ladies, and a few UTRs that for the most part are hit and miss. Flakey just comes with the territory. BTW and with all due respect, being a provider is not a profession or at the least a profession with a set of enforceable standards. It is what it is. For the most part, it is women caught in some sort of situation-- usually for the bad in which she has resorted to a very non-traditional way of trying to support herself and/or her family. It comes with the territory and it gives us all pause when we are fortunate to see a lady who actually has her shit together and is reliable. Unfortunately for those of us in flyover country, we see these ladies once every blue moon.

I don't know, maybe they have GPS. Maybe they are really, really busy. Maybe somethings going on behind the scenes, providers do have regular lives as you already realize. The one thing that you didn't touch on, is the fact that some providers will and do cancel 1 hour dates if another gent is wiling to do a 2 hour date. Do you know what I mean? Say 2 gents want to meet at noon on Sunday, one guy wants a 1 hour date, and the other wants a 2 hour date. The provider will most likely go with the 2 hour date over the 1 hour. Now, thats no reason to ignore you. A simple, "I'm sorry but I'm not available" would suffice. I can't speak for others, but many hobbyists have told me that this business is loaded with flakes. I don't know if this will make you feel better, but it does go both ways. I get emails from people, and then they don't always follow up. So it's just one of lifes mysteries. You would think that being a courtesan and being courteous would go hand in hand, but I guess thats not the case!! JD keep your chin up, because any real woman loves a man ridin' a John Deere :-)
