Born and raised in Dallas but loved Bum and the 'luv ya blue' Oilers. Actually hated my hometown team growing up. Lol.

RIP Bum. 'Kick the door down' up there big guy...

He had the stuff that legends are made of and was my favorite NFL Head Coach of all time. He will be missed!

My condolences, Bum being such a class guy! How I wish he could have won just ONE of those terrific playoff games against the Steelers, so many years ago!

I got to Houston the fall of 1977 and had a very good time parting with those guys.
I remember when the old Raider Jimmy Hendricks ( i think help me out guys..) drinking beer on Richmond and playing pool.

He had a helluva wife...Mrs. Phillips always called him "Coach". Don't get much better'n that.

Don't know if she's passed too, or still with us.

Can't really feel bad because haveing a great career, a good family and living past 90 is a pretty good run. I should be so lucky. So instead I will just salute him.
