Provider asked for my cell number and I gave it to her--did I make a really bad mistake?

Hi, so I saw an Asian provider earlier today. The session was horrible but that's another story. Her English was not very good but she kept trying to talk to me about my job and what my company did. I had a hard time understanding her and vice versa, but I think the basic idea was she wanted to get into business for herself (not this business) and wanted to know more about what I did. She asked if my company did business with China or any companies outside the U.S. I said no, and I think she was suggesting she could help me with that? Anyway, long story short, at the end of the session she asked me for my cell phone number, and asked me to input it into her phone. I thought this was really odd, but also thought it was no big deal as I had been messaging her throughout the day to set up the appointment. Still, I thought it was strange so I typed in a number that was one off. She then proceeded to call that number, and since I didn't want someone else to get a phone call from an Asian hooker, I said "oh, I put in the wrong number by mistake". I then put in the right number and she called and my phone rang. The number that came through was a different number then the one I was texting to set up the appointment, and I realized at that point that I wasn't texting her during the day but was texting someone else.

Did I do something really stupid, or is this not a big deal? I'm not entirely sure what she can do with just my cell phone number and nothing else, but that's why I'm posting her to see if there's something I should be aware of.
Depends.....

If you're using a burner cell or burner cell app, no problemo. Log on to your account and burn the number you gave her.

If you gave her your actual, real cell number,

1. You're an idiot (smilie face so I don't get more points for speaking the truth);

2. You need to log onto your account and lock and ERASE your phone,

3. Then go to your cellular carrier and report it as stolen and dish out for a new phone and number.

4. And let this be a "learning experience." LOL

Well, if she wasn't known and it wasn't for screening purposes, yes, you screwed up.

Honestly, I don't typically bother with people that contact me through "burner or app" numbers that can't be reversed searched or looked up. But that is part of my screening process for safety. I would never ask someone for a secondary number or cell number after the session as what would be the point... I will ask for an email sometimes if we clicked & they are from out of town -but that's just so I can shoot them an email if I'm ever in their city.

This is just a weird situation that you described. I'm always for being transparent during a screening process -but at the same time use your head & stick with reputable providers that are ding in the community

It's ok to say, "No."

It's ok..........

Basicly you gave a twicker street hooker you number and the hooker you were texting got stood up. But there incall close by each other.
Just because she Asia she still tweet with dreams.
Do Google such to see if she has adds.
She think you rolling in money if paid web price vs street price.
If poor service just tell her you join the Mormons if she evens calls.
My guess is that she may be trying to get all the info about you that she can so she can steal your identity. One of my asian ATFs did this to me last year. I was new to the hobby and she was new to the area and at that time she was not in the rush she is nowadays so she would ask me questions about the area, the local colleges, etc. I let my guard down and left my card in my wallet one session and she eyeballed it while I was washing up afterwards. She didn't steal it but either wrote down the number or took a pic of the card. The CC company stopped her cold when she tried to use the number and alerted me immediately so I got the card cancelled and ordered a new one. I kept seeing her because she was fun and as long as I left the cards at home I'd be safe. But then she started asking me where I lived and worked and what hours I worked. She would then start texting me the day after a session telling me that she missed me. I'm sure she was trying to get me to let my guard down again so I'd slip up and give up some more rw information. Like your gal, she too has another phone number as well which I got a couple of months before she made the move on the credit card. So my advice is to not give her any more info if you want to keep seeing her. I tell mine I work from home so she can't get any ideas in her head to have any of her cohorts attempt a break in while I'm gone. And if she contacts me outside my work hours I let her know I'm watching my nieces and nephews which implies I'm home which makes it less likely I'll have to worry about someone scoping my place out while I'm gone.
Hearing all this horror stories prevented me to see an independent provider because I have to call to make an appointment. I always go to AMP, leave everything in the car and only bring in what I intended to spend. I would park out of sight as well because they can look up with the car's plate numbers. This hobby is not easy, it takes a lot of precaution works and money.

I can't ever say all or always, just typically, you know. Just like I'm sure there's little red flags that you boys watch for in a date -but it's not applicable to all of us many times

There are many better places that are safer, cleaner, and affordable, and the competition without fear of arrest and imprisonment puts providers at the top of their game. No disrespect, cause you gotta do what you gotta do to survive, but most US sexworkers wouldn't last a week in a country where sexwork isn't a crime.

Just my $0.02. Hobbying in the US sux - in a bad way!

Get a new, separate number (virtual or otherwise), and ask all of the ladies to delete the old number from their records and use the new number. Unless you are a high-profile individual (i.e. we'd know you from the news or entertainment), most ladies will not keep a record of the old number for their own protection. The best part about keeping your personal and community correspondence separate is that you can literally turn off notifications from the community contact methods when you need privacy/discretion. If you have ladies reject you during screening because your new number is private, go get a screening service like P411, keep your refs there, and screen using that.
