be aware of your surroundings ladies
wow
just a word of caution to providers!
Be very aware of your surroundings when you stay in a hotel!!!
I had two freaky incidents this week..
first one in KC
I wasnt paying attention..I picked up the wrong hotel key (it was from last hotel I stayed at) and when I went outside at midnight to check my car i locked myself out of the hotel..I was in my PJs and had to walk way around thru the scary darkness to the front door to get a key from front desk.
And today,I was sitting on the bed watching a movie when I kept hearing drip drip sounds
I went into the bathroom and was greeted by a flooded floor and water pouring thru the ceiling!
So always be aware of your surroundings and pay attention to the little details of everyday life!!!!
I have seen the water dripping before but it wasn't my room. I had nothing better to do. So I watched as the staff attempted to get into the room above. It took them forever to open the door, to turn off the sink. It had a small stream of water left running. They weren't the brightest bulbs in the box.
Being aware of your surroundings includes not playing in the parking lot, foyer, lobby, elevators or hallways.
Unless, of course, you're going to compete for best of vid clips of the month that hotel staff submit. In that case make sure the camera view angle will work well.
Weird things come in 3s Dallas...
Dallas,
This should also include always being aware of the people who are around you, and what they are doing.
Decades ago I was in Pittsburg, Pa. and getting a cab was difficult at about 1:30 in the morning. I decided I would just walk the 4 or 5 blocks from one nice hotel where I had attended a meeting, with long discussions after dinner, to the nice hotel where I was staying. Not a long walk, and after a full day of sitting down I thought I could use the exercise.
After about 2 or 3 blocks, I noted that this big guy walking behind me was in perfect step with my steps and that he was getting much closer. I crossed the street, and he crossed the street. My suspicions were confirmed when I stopped next to a fully lighted street repair with several workers - he stopped to, and tried to fade into the showdown. I made it to William Penn Hotel by being observant.
Just watch what is happening around you - all the time.
awesome guys thx for sharing!
For those who can remember Susan, she gave me a laundry list of things ladies should pay attention to and rules to follow. I've passed them along to ladies over the years. Haven't done that in a long time. She never and I have never posted them on line for obvious reasons.
If Susan was still around she and Ms Dallas would get along very, very well I would think! I hope she is doing well!!!

The rules she gave me pertained to women but men could do well to observe them for the safety of the ladies. Oh, and most refer to hotels/motels.
Personally I always make sure a light comes on when I open my car door so I can see in the car before I get in. I'm looking around my car as I'm walking to it to make sure no one is under it and don't keep anything people can hide under inside my car. Just one safety habit I've always had from being a server. Carrying cash after a late shift can make ya a target.
The very first time I had an encounter with a provider, I had 2 men follow me out of the hotel and out to the parking lot. I noticed them sitting in the lobby when I had arrived and they were still there when I left. They were in pretty normal casual clothing, but they seemed odd. High-stepped it to the truck and they stood on either side of the truck telling me to roll my windows down. I gave them the finger and they pulled guns and I floored it. I always have my sidearm in the truck with me, so I felt somewhat safe, but had I not noticed them when I entered or when I was leaving, I would have been completely oblivious to them following me out of the hotel. Oddly enough, I tried to see that same provider a couple weeks later after I saw them post an ad about a new location with the same number, I was blocked.
Great thread sweet DallasRain!!
Everyone on this thread has given great awareness advice! BiGUps to the Kansas City community for being team players!
My short story, DON’T FORGET TO LOCK THE DOOR BEHIND YOU!!
A friend and I are in the bed closest to the door, booty, ball, butt naked and a housekeeper walks in (without the knock of course). What she saw, I swear made her stick around with an ear against the wall. Kind of a turn on, yet still just a little uncomfortable.

I might add that a can of wasp spray will completely incapacitate someone who is threatening you. It's s little big for a purse but men and women alike, if they are inventive, can find a way to have it available when needed. In your room it's easy defense. It will direct a concentrated spray a good 25 feet. Hit them in the chest or face and they are done for. It's also good for more than one person if necessary. Buy a can and experiment. Remember, if you are a little aggressive in a tight situation it will throw them off balance as they are used to fear and intimidation as one of their tools.

I have one riot gas grenade that I kept from Nam; wonder if anyone wants it ?
