Hello fellows, could anyone tells me if the Ryan's steakhouse closed? Also, if its for lease currently. Thank you very much!
I think it closed a year ago.

It closed months ago and is now being renovated into another Chinese buffet.
Ryans was great!! Honestly, does killeen really need another chinese buffet?! Sushi I on rancier much more delicious!!
From what I've heard it's going to be a mega buffet, with Chinese buffet, sushi, and Mongolian style buffet. Sounds like it could be good.
I'm with Spanish mami on this one

FWIW, I went to the new Asian restaurant at the "old Ryan's". NIcely renovated, you would not recognize the place. It had a nice sushi bar, great Mongolian grill, nice selection of Chinese buffet, and all in one place.

I was cheaper than a Ghengis grill, and it was all you can eat. Wait staff was plentiful and good.

Overall, one of the best "all you can eat" Chinese places I have ever been to.
Yes, this new place is good, especially for this area. Buffet Palace on S Fort Hood St is pretty good, they lean Korean if that's your thing...

But this new place. They gots some good looking girls working there

OldSarge, I would disagree with the Mongolian. The meat is poor quality. I may be spoiled by Genghis Grill though.
Asian Buffet is pretty good compared to some of the other crappy buffets in Killeen. It's on par with Yank Sing and has a little bit more to choose from.....

Welcome Buff. Thanks for your input. As you get to know your way around here you may want to check out this link http://www.eccie.net/announcement.php?f=5 All three of the owners have chimed in on that thread. It is our board guidelines and will help guide you as to the do's and don'ts of the board,

Our local moderator, Ffireman will probably chime in and remind you not to post in a thread that has had no activity for 30 days. (as you did here). If you look at the post above yours, post #8 in this thread, you will see on the left hand side that that post was made on April 15. Any post after May 14 or 15 is in violation of the guidelines.

The good news is, you likely will only be publically asked to not do it again. In the case of more "severe" guideline violations, you can be pointed and/or banned. When I was a moderator here, I only banned 2 or 3 handles in our forum (several more in Austin).

Good luck and welcome to our happy little corner of the hobby.

Respectfully,

OldSarge

Review threads are restricted to the 30 day bump rule. In general terms, discussion threads are allowed to go on until they die of their own accord.

#13 - In our review forums, be mindful of the 'maturity' of threads you are posting to, ie. the date of the last item posted. We ask that you refrain from posting to a review in which the last post was made 30 or more days ago. Some exceptions may apply if you are providing relevant, valuable or updated information about the provider, but as a general rule of thumb, this can best be accomplished by writing a new review altogether and avoiding the bumping of old ones. This applies to our review forums, in particular, as discussion threads are often allowed to flow for an unspecified length of time.
On topic, I used to love Ryan's when I used to live back east, probably some of the best dinner rolls in existence! Its one of the places I really do miss living out west now.
