Good restaurants for Thanksgiving?

Dirty Dan's Avatar
For the first time ever, I am going to take the family out on Thanksgiving. Can anyone recommend a nice family restaurant that puts out a good spread?
Thanks for any suggestions. Dan

If you can't find an independent restaurant open, there's a couple of decent chain places: veggie-loaded Black-Eyed Pea and Buca di Beppo. Try the latter's turkey with Italian sausage-garlic-Parmesan cheese stuffing.

Oops, wait, just looked, and no Buca's in SA, just Houston, Austin, Dallas. That bites.

Hard to beat Luby's for turkey, dressing and all the trimmings.

Here's a list of places that was in the paper: http://www.mysanantonio.com/life/foo...er-4021462.php

If I were going out for Thanksgiving, I'd either go to Biga on the Banks, or Luke: lukesanantonio.com.

Enjoy the time with the family.

I am SO HAPPY we got some great cooks in my family.
Why didn't I think of Luke! Had a hard time trying to find a restuarant that was open and showing the games...ended up at Mimi's.
