It was from military trainings in Belarussia that happened before Russia invade Ukraine. They had 2 symbols for training Z and V. Z means ZAPAD(West in russian) vehicles with such symbol immitated attacking enemy forces. V means VOSTOK(East in russian) vehicles with this symbol immitated protected side
