Southeast Texas

Just a suggestion...

I know it has been suggested that Southeast Texas have their own forum but that has not happened for whatever reason, maybe lack of participation.

I do feel that a name change of the current "North and East Texas" forum to something like, "North, East, & Southeast Texas" would help point lost hobbyists and site members to the correct location. I found that many people looking for Beaumont don't think to go to this forum or cannot readily find it. Perhaps making it easier for people to find what they are looking for would help to increase participation overall.

Thanks for your consideration.

In the past I have asked for the North and East Texas main forum to be split along the lines of the provider ad sub-forums. The idea was not accepted by the owners. I've also asked to have the main forum renamed. Once again it was not accepted.

I will ask again and perhaps it will happen. But I wouldn't count on it.

I agree with Gwen...hell it's as far from Paris or Texarkana to Corpus than it is from Dallas to Kansas City. Too much area for 1 section.

Thanks for your feedback HID and Angus. I hope that one day the ownership will realize that it's the members who keep the site going and these small changes would be to the benefit of the site and quite possibly help increase their membership here. Increased membership = increased revenues through clicks on their advertisements (or more members who will utilize the services of the paying advertisers).

I know I have not renewed my banner ad in the North and East Texas forums because quite frankly, I got very little traffic generated through banner placement in this forum. It is just not worth the cost for such a low click-through and low conversion rate.

Perhaps they will consider this... (there is empty ad space up there)

The biggest issue with separating and creating individual areas is content .....
For Beaumont/ east / setx to have its on listing there would have to be enough content to warrant it .... Discussions , ads , reviews , etc .... And there isn't ....
Postings and content is what keeps an area alive , it's like a tumor, it grows from within if there is until it's noticed and big enough to be separated ..... Imho

For those who are not already familiar with the site layout (or the site in general), it is difficult for them to find the area (Beaumont) in order to post what they want. That means provider ads, reviews, as well as discussion topics. I have spoken with some clients in the past who didn't even know where Beaumont was on the site in order to post a review or find ads. It is just not apparent to the outside world, in many cases, that Beaumont falls under "North and East Texas". In the mainstream world, anyone looking for something between Beaumont - Port Arthur - Orange (The Golden Triangle) associates this with "Southeast Texas", not north or even east. We are not concerned with what is going on in Denton or even Tyler.

Lets use the following search example to clarify what I mean. If a potential hobbyist is looking for "Beaumont Independent Escorts" and inputs said criteria into Google, ECCIE does not come up anywhere in the first several pages of the search results, however, if someone did a similar search using "Houston Independent Escorts", ECCIE comes up on the first page.

There is not a lack of services and hobbyists in this area, it is just over-looked here. Backpage, however, understands this, hence being #1 in all similar escort related searches. It is unfortunate that a valuable resource site such as ECCIE, fails to "get it". With the proper structuring and SEO, ECCIE could well rank as high as BP and draw in the traffic that they are losing to other advertising mediums. I advertise here, as well as backpage, and I will let everyone know that Backpage blows ECCIE out of the water as far as generating traffic to my website on any given day. Plain and simple.

I'm new to this site and am still trying to learn everything. However, I don't like that there is a North and East Texas and then a separate Dallas. Isn't Dallas pretty much North? It seems to me that it would make sense to change the North and East to East and Southeast since the only one's I really see that are North are from Dallas. Not griping, just a suggestion from someone trying to figure everything out.
Welcome and good luck!

Thanks! BTW after looking at your website, I'm now officially jealous of Beaumont.
That's for damn sure.
