RI man robs and rapes 2 escorts at gunpoint

So it took a few years after the closed the loophole that had decriminalized indoor sex work in Rhode Island, and now the sex workers are faced with violence again. I wonder how many other escorts this guy raped and robbed that may have been too scared to report it to the authorities.

Hope this bastard gets "escorted" around the prison system since he likes forced sex lol ...
The loophole being closed has very little if anything to do with this story. The "Craigslist Killer" was operating during legalized/decriminalized prostitution in Rhode Island and the loophole didn't stop a number of ladies from being assaulted. The only benefit was that when they were attacked or assaulted they didn't have to lie to law enforcement about the circumstances.

I have mixed opinions on the Rhode Island loophole; there was (and probably still is) trafficking going on in Providence/Pawtucket, but it's much harder to prove slavery and trafficking when there is so much on the line for the victims. You will rarely if ever get a cooperating witness. That was always (IMO) the strongest argument against closing the loophole unfortunately — I suspect most of the people that are going to get caught up in this are going to end up in ICE holding tanks and departed to South East Asia, South America and across the Russian Federation.

It wasn't just the (HUNDREDS) of massage parlors, either. Some of the dancers working in a couple of prominent Providence clubs (one of them named after a classic American car company) had a couple of girls working there that I suspect wouldn't have been working there if they weren't strongly encouraged to do so.

Regardless, I won't be sad when this guy gets passed around like a bottle of Kristal in his cellblock and I'm sure he'll be very popular.
