PC Browsers can't load ECCIE

I am posting this by iPhone because that is the only way I can access ECCIE.

I get a "Database Error" message if I try to access ECCIE using either Firefox or Safari on my PC.

What is going on?

ongoing issue with site as evident by many posts in TR.

No word on any solution or root cause of it.

The problem seems to be solely with "eccie.net". If you copy and paste a thread, forum or post link such as "http://www.eccie.net/forumdisplay.php?f=1701", it seems to bypass the problem and work. Once you're into a forum or thread, you can navigate to where you want to be. That means you must first save the link either in an e-mail, text or word processing file and have it available when "eccie.net" doesn't work.

Well thanks to all.

But it appears ECCIE is working again. I can access it in Firefox again.

Although for a while, I even lost mobile phone access. I had nada

Let's hope the problem stays gone.

Nice tip. For those who would rather not save an eccie link, googling "eccie.net" (without the quotes) gave me a nice set of links to work with. After clicking a link, I could then log in. Use the search box on google, not the address bar of your browser (for example, you can search from the address box in Chrome).

The problem is back if I try the home page -> www.eccie.net

But if I search for ECCIE on Google and click the link for the Dallas page or some other page, I have no problem pulling it up.

I suggest that you take the following link...

http://www.eccie.net/index.php

And set up a bookmark with it. Then use the bookmark to get to the site.
