While laying in my bed thinking I have a question that is probably dumb but now my brain needs an answer..So go easy on me great people of Nebraska haha... Why is it legal to do porn but its not legal to be an escort? Isn't it really the same thing? A porn star gets paid to have sex on camera..So isn't that the same damn thing as an escort? I feel it is and I demand answers...lol!!

Me either till tonight...then I looked it up and it says because porn stars get paid to be act not for the sex itself.. Which I think is a bullshit excuse..lol.
I think I will begin introducing myself as an Independent Producer.
Yes, that's it.

And of course, have a big, well used casting couch...lol
Maybe because of the interpretations and applications of the courts to peoples' rights under the 1st amendment. Specifically "freedom of expression". Porn is represented, cynically, as a form of artistic expression protected by 1st amendment. Also, i think that prostitution is defined in statutes as one person paying another, or receiving from another, money for sex. In porn, men are not "purchasing" sexual services from the women (sorry about stereotyping the gender identities and don't mean to leave out gay porn*) both "actors" are being paid by producers to interact with each other.

* i chose heterosexual sex to simplify making my point. I intend no slight to gay or lesbian interactions and i respect all peoples' sexual orientations.

So bring a camera to every encounter and check out the "acting". Sounds like fun to me.

Originally, prostitution was widely legal in the United States. Prostitution was made illegal in almost all states between 1910 and 1915 largely due to the influence of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union, an organization that was among the first organizations of women devoted to social reform with a program that "linked the religious and the secular through concerted and far-reaching reform strategies based on applied Christianity."
The porn industry has fought and in most cases won that it is entertainment.
Where as the legal system and society sees prostitution (been around much longer) as a blight or associated with crime and other illegal activities including human trafficking. Its thought that porn actors arent trafficked. So until society changes its mind...all is status quo

Well maybe now providers should start saying come interview with me for an acting part instead of saying your paying for my time lol.. I think its kinda dumb anyway you look at it.. And the Woman's Christian Temperance Union must of been a bunch of prude women not getting laid the right way..Had they been getting it right maybe they would of been more happy
