We have every opportunity to make this site a different one and make it something intelligent and post-able by ladies IF we do the following

Have intelligent (somewhat) discussions.

Don't belittle the ladies comments

No backstabbing and arguing allowed

Genuine concern for the community

Isn't this what we all hate about Indys? they allow people to post crap and angry comments? Out people? Ban people?

Just a thought,, be careful what you wish for...and who you invite over

The only way to do all those things is to shut down this site.

Internet forums just don't work like that!

As long as posters can hide behind a user name and you have no way of knowing how they really are you can't control it!

I have been a part of many forums that were policed well and not allowed to have people fight and bicker with each other, it takes a heave moderating OR a bunch of people who are adults to actually care about each others feeling to pull it off.

Funny banter is great, but hatefulness can destroy ladies wanting to post publicly.

If you stop and think about it, most top ladies don't post on public forums due to fear of some idiot ruining their business by outing them or saying something stupid towards Rates/hours etc

That would be a perfect idea if.....

Most of the people involved in the hobby weren't already aware and perhaps have a presence on more than one board.
A lot of the people here either know about indys or are/were part of it.
Which is a good thing.

One can never have too many resources for information when deciding whom to spend valuable time/money with.

And as far as outing or being flamed, if one conducts themselves in a respectful manner in all of their dealings with others they have no real worries now do they?
Even if one or two folks started "rumors" the folks who really know them won't be swayed.

Personally I like posting on the forums because it gives folks a chance to get to know me. I admit I haven't posted much here but then the Pgh forums haven't been all that lively nor directed towards provider input.

Posting taint helps bring people together.

Hi Charlotte, allow me to explain my post you quoted a bit. It was in response to another poser, blkstocking, making a comment about how boards deterioriate.

This first clique or influx of guys from Indys like to use the boards to have fun. Not not everyone will like that fun or agree with our humor, but that doesnt make our posting wrong. That poster listed a progression of humor that eventually turns to bullying, which IMO is a wrong progressin.

We have already made attemts to bring you into our discussion and buffoonery, just as we have with Jinny and do with others. As you have noticed in our short amount of time here we tend to ball bust with each other, aka guys we know. In time others will join in as well, thats how I got in and it seems Pistolero finds us amusing and has busted some of our balls which we took graciously, busted his back and moved on.

The drama and problems you speak of is when those people we refer to as the righteous or broomstick in the ass crowd show up and rather than ignore some posts they dont find humorous they attack the existing buffoonery. When that happend one poster is saying that these other posters arent his kind of people and should be done away with, which is pretty sad. These lone broomsticks then attempt to disrupt what was good time being had by many and cause drama by crying bullying,

Look we are all old enough to be on a site like this, there are no kids here. Sarcastic responses, ball busting, some midly coarse language are to be expected when you get a group of men together. If a person cant handle a sarcastic comment or an off color joke made on an escort site on the internet then they really need to grow thinker skin or find the butterfly discussion forum )I think that is now located in Indys Co-ed.

I think I speak for all the Indys recent crossovers when I say we are here for fun and we dont get mean unless someone becomes an ass and tried to end that fun. Jinny plays with us and Heather will too once she gets here. You should join in the discussions, you will fnd the jokes are much funnier when you know what they are about. Also we are mostly Republicans and geographcally many onthese setes are Democrats...regardless of which individuals from each side are here arguements will ensue over something. If guys like LMNOP and Pittman show up here, yea they will get busted on pretty hard...but that is busting for different reasons.

Back to Pistoleros quote from ASPD...Its your business, its our hobby. How much do you think CMWYL or Paula Allen has benefitted from some witty banter with the pack? I would say a lot.

it is 5am and I want to say I agree with you and like things the way they are at this point,,

I am hoping that the "buffoonery" that you speak of stays the same and dosent get to the name calling and obnoxious behavior stage.

There was a man over on the INDYS site that used to call us all WHORES,, to the mans face the ladies all laughed at his jokes, behind the scenes we all scorned him and would not see him..

So the benefit of having a man on the site like that is non beneficial to all..

It is not my site and I would not allow men on my site that would be so disrespectful to ladies like that,, but as PI said, "he pays my Bills". So sacrificing a persons integrity is what I hoped this site would not allow.

I cannot be a part of a site that will allow men to treat ladies like that and I know many quality ladies feel the same way.

There are ladies who think bad behavior is funny, but I do not and would rather not allow myself to be a part of ignorance.

I like things how they are, I wish for more banter in a positive form, but that will come with time and positive influences, this area could use a site for people with integrity and kindness.

This business is hard enough without being mean to each other.

Taint will bring people together in harmony.

I enjoy arguments. They make people think (and show how stupid others are).

Charlotte, almost everyone of your posts bashes PI and Indys in one form or another. It kind of makes it hard to take you seriously. You go on about how much better off you are without indys, but continue to talk shit all the time. Its boring and reeks of sour grapes. Let it go. Move on.

I make it no secret I think PI is an ass,, but...

I post ALOT about MANY other things, we are talking about anger and asinine comments and if you see most of your postings, they are exactly what I refer to.

I am VERY positive and happy..and I have moved on well..

Sorry to disagree, but I don't believe I've ever seen any real anger in any of Big Stigs posts.
He is not in any way "fluffy" in his posts, usually straight up and to the point. Perhaps his directness comes off as anger to you.
He also dispenses a LOT of useful information to those who pay attention .

As far as what is allowed, each city has some leeway in how they want the board to look. The assigned moderators are in complete control of each forum. Moderators from other areas are not supposed to come into here as mods, unless it is a critical/nuclear issue. If you read other Eccie city forums, they each have their own personality.

I am also a mod in Houston. There is a lot of stuff posted there, within the guidelines maybe, which the local community seems to want to allow. If it was my sole decision, I would stop it, but the community allows it. We have six mods in Houston. The group works good together, as do T2D and I here.

If there is a post which you believe breaks the guidelines, let us know. These responses are much of what will be used to for the mind of the community. It is not necessary to PM us. Sometimes it may take a while to get an answer to a PM. On each post, in the bottom left corner, there is a red and white triangle. This is the Report To Moderators button or RTM. This goes into a queue and can be read by every mod on the board and the admins and owners. Also, there is a button on the upper right of all PM's. You can report any PM to us this way.

Just RTM anything you think is a problem. We may not agree. We may agree. But we may not know there is a problem unless you RTM it. We are not always on here. But if it is a big problem, other mods may take action.

Speaking of the guidelines. Did anyone really read them when you joined? These are posted on the left side of most pages. Here is a link for you.
