Matthews Rants: 'Right Wing' Driven by 'Racial Hatred' to Get Rid of Obama

CuteOldGuy's Avatar
CHRIS MATTHEWS: I think they're more political than either you or I – I think they hate Obama. They want him out of the White House more than they want to destroy al Qaeda. Their number one enemy in the world right now, on the right, is their hatred – hatred for Obama. We can go into that about the white working class in the south and looking at these numbers we’re getting about racial hatred in many cases. This isn’t about being a better president. They want to get rid of this president. That's their number one goal and they're willing to let Romney go to the hard center, even if it’s to the left on issues, as long as they get rid of this guy. Romney went in there tonight with sixteen ounce gloves. He didn’t want to look too ferocious he just wanted to win and the way he wanted to win was not make himself into the right-winger that the right wing that's supporting him really are.

Does this sound familiar? YOU HATE HIM! YOU HATE HIM! YOU HATE HIM!

LOL!

Ah, yes, the race card is alive and well at MSNBC.

Oh, now Chris Matthews is all screwed up too right?

It's sad that you don't realize he's right.

Chris Matthews, old mush mouth, what a joke.

I sometimes think he is secretly working for the
Republicans, just to make the Democrats look like
idiots.

Something like 98% of blacks voted for Obama and only 2% voted for his white opponent, John McCain. So why does no one accuse blacks of being "driven by race hatred" for not supporting the white guy. If 98% of whites had voted for McCain, it clearly would have been racially motivated. Obama didn't get elected in spite of being black; he got elected because he's black.

This racial double standard stuff sure gets old.

his lips fell off.

That's ok, he keeps them in a jar and passes them
around at Democratic events for everybody to use.

Hahahahahahahahaha

We don't hate him cuz he's black, we despise him cuz he's a Marxist commie SOB that has no business leading a free country.

Here's another thing I have going with shyster. Hey shyster here's another example of the left playing the race card.

You guys do realize the race card doesn't work anymore right? All it does now is make us roll our eyes or laugh till we cry. I don't know even one racist person in my entire life except for my 92 year old grandfather that fought in WWII and he can have any opinion he wants.

Y'all must be desperate if you still try this race BS. Hahahahahaha

Saying that Obama is being persecuted because of his race is absurd; it's obvious that his race actually helped put him in office.

  • I have never seen a president before this one called "lazy"

Now, most rightys don't like this man because of his "liberal" policies.

But If you really think his race is not part of why he is disliked so in certain quarters you are in denial.

In 2008, white people I have known my entire life confessed to me that they would not vote for Obama because of his race. They won’t go on record. They will say otherwise in public. But in a comfortable environment over iced tea when they forget I’m a reporter, they will say this in rural Arkansas – and much of this state would be considered the country.

If I look perplexed, they will say he's not "a Southern black" so therefore, he doesn’t understand. “Understand what” is never made clear – his place in a confused, archaic society, perhaps?

They will crack racist jokes. They will insist Obama is a Muslim, a socialist and a Nazi. These are not Republicans necessarily. In fact, many of these people have voted Democratic their entire lives.

Of course, they won’t be quoted. No one wants to look or sound racist in 21st century America because it’s not politically correct. That’s why pinpointing racism against Obama in the South is so hard to do for reporters. A old Dixie mentality exists that is ingrained from a very young age: White people are superior to blacks. And no matter how much you talk about equality, a lot of people just don’t quite get it. Even in 2012. And they never will.

Here is the problem with what Sarah Palin said, and it's more proof of what CM was saying:

CNN contributor Roland Martin said in 2008 after the phrase was used by then-New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo that it was a “negative assessment” of African-Americans, writing: “’Shucking and jiving’ have long been words used as a negative assessment of African Americans, along the lines of a ‘foot shufflin’ Negro.’ In fact, I don’t recall ever hearing the phrase used in reference to anyone white.”
According to Urban Dictionary: “To shuck and jive originally referred to the intentionally misleading words and actions that African-Americans would employ in order to deceive racist Euro-Americans in power, both during the period of slavery and afterwards. The expression was documented as being in wide usage in the 1920s, but may have originated much earlier.”
