Where is a safe and discreet area to stay in?

Hello Ladies & Gentleman,

I am traveling into town and need some input on where to stay that is nice and discreet! I am looking forward to visiting KC!!

Many of the traveling providers and locals stay in the Country Club Plaza area. Lots of hotels,nightlife and shopping all in a compact area. I've never had any problems visiting providers in that area.
