You must get an atty. Similar to J4455's mention, actually interview more than one so you find one that has dealt with this frequently in the specific muni that you got stung in. Plan on spending a couple thou. And next time, do your friggen research and/or stick with trusted gals. There's a lesson here for all.

Last, perhaps do a bit of preliminary analysis by going to the worldwide board thread "A Question of Legality", where professionals discuss stuff related to hobby. There's a few stickys there. Pay specific attention to ShysterJon's comments. He is the man (for Texas anyway). Also ignore the wannabes that get jumped on by the pros, as that is a help thread, not a speculative or political thread.

I've never used him, but in the last the kctrafficlawyer has been recommended. Just add a dotcom ti the end of that, and thats his website.

Get a lawyer. His fee is going to be at least 1,200. He'll get your case plead out to a public disturbance if it's your first time. The fine will be around 500 and they might send you to john school, which could cost more money. At john school they might make you take an STD test.

At john school they're going to try to make you feel bad - don't. They'll say things about how you're a sex addict, how dangerous all prostitutes are, they'll say you contributed to human trafficking and they'll show you pics of STDs. Take it in stride. Smile and nod and take in the freak show that will be your classmates.

Don't get too worried. This isn't a felony and if they were going to put your face out there as a sexual deviant, they would've done it already. Just pay the fees, go with the flow and consider this an expensive lesson about how to not get caught the next time.
