Ok ladies and gentlemen,
here it is, the one you have been waiting for . . .
The Mexican Word of the Week.
Today's word boys and girls is . . . Butter and Lettuce
Ok, now in a sentence . . .
My lady and I would like to get married juno, Butter parents won't Lettuce.
"Coachpaul"
LOL!
Here is a Mexican phrase I heard at the HEB the other day... I have totally misunderstood this one for years.
"Nacho cheese"
I used to think it was a specific kind of processed cheese you bought in a can to heat and pour over corn chips, but that is not how the Hispanic gent I was next to used it.
Seems the Hispanic gent had found the last block of swiss cheese on sale and had put it in his basket while looking for more dairy products. An Anglo walked by and looked left and right and grabbed the swiss OUT OF the shopping cart of the Hispanic gent, who turned around in time to see the Anglo head quickly towards check out.
The Hispanic gent followed and was hollering, "Hey, thats nacho cheese, thats nacho cheese, eats my cheese......."
Kisses,
Theresa
