The Obama administration is fuming, as you might expect. Still, this is deeply ironic: Israel has re-elected a leader who is pro-American, who shares our values, who is popular with the American people–more popular, in fact, than our own president–and our administration is outraged. This is the upside-down Age of Obama. To be pro-American is now bad, apparently.

- Not continue support for the Iron Dome?
- Withdraw US veto protections in the UN?
- Cut aide/intelligence sharing?

Punishing the only functioning democracy (and true friend to America) in the Middle East doesn't make any sense. But when has Obama's agenda made any sense for America's interest? Obama's ego was bruised, he wants payback. Obama is petty in that way.

We cannot unconditionally support Netanyahu, nor do we have any religious, social, or legal obligation to do so.

Why you Christian Zionists think the Bible forces you to support Israel is beyond me. Jewish people in the USA vote for Democrats, anyway. Republicans are just chumps to support Israel.

President Obama made a political move, and lost.

I am sure he bought into all of the pre-election predictions, that a more Pro-Islamic Government would be elected.

This is all part of World Politics. The President will now have to let things settle, regroup, and accept this current reality.

He really should call BiBi and congratulate him, though. Regardless of his motives, and his reason for waiting so long, most of the World will see it as a petty and shallow.
