Let me just start off by saying this. Fuck Dallas! Lol
You're best bet I would say is either Midland or Amarillo since you're in Lubbock. Both are an easy drive for you and about the same distance.

If you are going to base your travel plans on prebooking you may not get much in the way of prebooked appointments.
