Is Facebook the next big thing?

Been around since before the Delphi forums. Used to love those wide open beaver shots in the CL ads. Wish BP was a little more user friendly.

So, are we going to migrate to facebook? I dont know anything about facebook other than yelling at teenagers "get your silly ass off facebook and (do your homework; cut the grass; empty the dishwasher; whatever).

Are facebook and this thing of ours compatible? Especially re anonymity, seductive pics, pricing, description of services etc. I dont know, are these welcome and accepted on facebook?

I doubt it. Facebook has way too much loose. While CL and BP were classified ad sites, FB is pure social networking and services. It almost mirrors real life when it comes to friends lists. It's also monitored heavily by moderators and their own users.

My guess is that it would be really tough to advertise on Facebook. There are so many people on it that sorting through the 1 billion members to try and find the few hundred women that might try and use it's a means of doing business would be difficult.

But who knows someome could make an app for it that does the heavy lifting for you. That would be Zuckerman's worst nightmare since he is so focused on his public image these days.
