Ring, ring, ring, ring . . .

Geeze Louise, what does it take to get a provider to answer her phone?

Last week I tried calling 4 different providers. 1 of them picked up hung up right away then texted back. One let it ring through to voice mail which was, you guessed it, either full or uninitialized, and then texted back. The other two it just kept ringing and ringing until the phone service provider recording said, "The customer is not available" or some shit like that. Neither of the two that texted back kept up the conversation.

Yesterday, same thing. One provider, I got her voicemail and left a message, no return call. Two providers, ring and ring and recording. Fourth provider I got "That number has been disconnected."

What in the ass? Why do these ladies even advertise if they don't answer their phones or texts?

Is there something about my phone number?

It's not just Tallahassee - I had this same experience where I lived before.

I'm not ready to give up, though.
Texting and apps are replacing basic telephone etiquette. Many (maybe most) providers are simply ignorant of how to run their business. That's why I prefer older providers. The younger ones are usually dumb as rocks.
